Questions we get often — and the straight answers that matter.
We keep the process simple and the promises honest, so you know exactly what to expect before the crew arrives.
Do I need to be home during the clean?
Not necessarily. Most recurring clients are happy to have us come while they're at work — we'll lock up securely afterwards. For a first clean, we recommend being there (or meeting us briefly) so we can walk through priorities and learn your space.
Are your products safe for kids, pets, and sensitive homes?
Yes. We default to eco-friendly, non-toxic products on the vast majority of surfaces. If your household has sensitivities, allergies, or specific preferences, tell us in the booking notes and we'll tailor the kit for that visit.
How are quotes calculated?
Every quote is based on the actual space: square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, service type, and add-ons. Rather than guessing a price online, we ask 3–4 quick questions and send a firm, itemised quote — typically within one business day.
Are your cleaners background-checked and insured?
Every Gaps crew member is vetted, background-checked, trained to our standards, and covered by our liability insurance. The people who clean your home are our employees — never subcontracted strangers.
What if I'm not happy with part of the clean?
Tell us within 24 hours and we'll return and re-do that area free of charge. If a recurring client isn't satisfied, the follow-up is folded into the next scheduled visit. We'd rather fix it than argue about it.
Do I need to provide equipment or supplies?
No — we bring everything: professional vacuums, microfiber, eco-friendly product lines, and all specialty tools. If you'd prefer we use your own products (for sensitive homes, for example), just say so and we'll work from your kit.
Can I get the same cleaner every time?
Yes, and we encourage it. A consistent crew learns your home and your standards, which is exactly why our recurring clients report higher satisfaction. We'll note your preference in the booking and do our best to keep the same team assigned.
